Large, high-strength bolts for crushers, mills and excavators
Mining and mineral processing machinery operates under shock, vibration, dust and moisture, often around the clock and far from the nearest workshop. Bolted joints on crushers, mills, excavators, conveyor belts, screening plants and underground mining equipment must transmit high forces, must not work loose and must be quick to replace during overhauls. For these applications, RS Randack manufactures large, high-strength bolts, pins, threaded rods and nuts to drawing, forged and quenched and tempered, with rolled threads and material verification.
Typical parts
- Hex head and socket head cap screws in property classes 10.9 and 12.9 in large sizes for crushers, mill shells and liner plates
- Tension bolts and tie bolts with rolled threads, typically up to M180, for grinding mills, presses and slewing gear
- Pins and axles for excavators, loaders and conveying equipment, with hardened zones or fits
- T-head and special head bolts from our own forge for wear parts and liner plates
- Nuts, locking nuts and washers to match the bolt, with zinc flake coating or hot-dip galvanising on request
Requirements and documentation
- High strength with verified toughness, tested on the test bar and on the full-size bolt; see Property class 10.9
- Fatigue strength under impact thanks to forged heads and rolled threads
- Corrosion protection for humid and saline environments, impact energy for service in cold regions
- Inspection certificate 3.1 and batch documentation for spare parts stocking and traceability
