Special fasteners for power transmission and mechanical engineering

Fitted bolts, reduced-shank bolts and socket head cap screws for couplings, gearboxes and presses

Industry we supply today

Fitted bolts, reduced-shank bolts and socket head cap screws for couplings, gearboxes and presses

Couplings, gearboxes, presses, rolling mills, cranes and conveyor systems transmit high torques and forces through just a few bolts. Fitted bolts must carry shear forces by positive fit, reduced-shank bolts must absorb alternating loads elastically, and socket head cap screws in 12.9 must deliver maximum preload in confined spaces. RS Randack manufactures these fasteners to drawing for power transmission and mechanical engineering manufacturers, in batches from a few pieces to several thousand, with fits machined in our own turning shop and rolled threads.

Typical parts

  • Fitted bolts and dowel pins to DIN 609, DIN 610 and to drawing, with shank fits to H7, for shaft couplings and flanges
  • Socket head cap screws to ISO 4762 in property class 12.9 in special lengths, with collar, spigot or fine thread
  • Reduced-shank bolts to DIN 2510 and reduced-shank studs for gearbox housings, presses and rolling bearing assemblies
  • T-head, square head and special head bolts from our own forge for T-slots and fixtures
  • Tie rods, tension bolts and threaded rods, typically up to 3,500 mm long, with matching nuts and washers
